John Alderdice, Baron Alderdice gave a guest lecture to our students and faculty on "If Ireland can find peace, are there possibilities for Israel?"
A member of the British House of Lords, he captivated our audience by emphasizing the power of listening to one's "Other" in a dispute. Lord Alderdice played an important role in the Northern Ireland Peace Agreement, becoming one of the first politicians to recognize Sinn Fein after their self-imposed ceasefire.
